Role Overview
The Project Manager will play a critical role in managing the execution of specific programmes within our portfolio, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones and objectives. You will also support our Head of Nature Financing Programmes (Georgie) in creating scalable processes to optimise programme management and grow GY’s impact globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Delivery & Execution
- Lead the day-to-day management of specific programmes, ensuring the achievement of milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal teams (experts, analysts, project managers) and external stakeholders to manage project logistics, budget, and reporting.
- Ensure data integrity, analysis, and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) across all assigned projects.
- Scalable Programme Processes
- Support our Head of Nature Financing Programmes in developing and refining scalable programme management frameworks to streamline project operations and enable growth.
- Implement best practices across project management, ensuring they are aligned with industry standards, market trends, and GY’s strategic goals.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, and partners, providing consistent updates and addressing any challenges in project delivery.
- Ensure programmes align with GY’s broader mission, contributing to global nature restoration targets.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Expertise and Product teams to implement impactful tools that improve programme efficiency and help meet shared challenges across GY’s portfolio.
- Work closely with the Growth team to onboard new strategic programmes, ensuring smooth integration into GY’s programme management framework.
Skills and Experience Required
- 3+ years’ experience in project management, ideally within the environmental sector, natural capital markets, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-stakeholder projects, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget.
- Strong ability to juggle multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders with competing priorities.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and team collaboration skills.
- Highly organised with an analytical mindset, including experience with data analysis and financial reporting.
- Proficiency and quick learning in project management tools and software.
- Passion for sustainability and conservation finance, with a commitment to tackling climate change and biodiversity loss.
